Team Classes
Team classes are geared towards those, with or without prior experience, who would like to learn to compete in collegiate and amateur competitions. There are beginner, intermediate, and advanced levels, and in none of the levels are partners required. These classes are taught by friendly, experienced, nationally respected instructors.
- The Beginner Team class is for people interested in competitive dance by learning from professional competitive coaches. For the beginner class you do not need to have any prior dance experience. (NB: This class only begins fresh every fall semester.) This class will cover most of the International Bronze syllabus. (7:30pm-9pm weekly on Wednesdays in Copley Formal Lounge)
- The Intermediate Team class is for people who either took beginner team classes or those who have danced before. If you took social classes and are interested in competitive dance by learning from professional competitive coaches, it is possible that you can start at the intermediate level. This class starts with a review of the International Bronze, and then progresses through the majority of the International Silver syllabus while working technique depending on the class makeup. (9pm-10:30pm weekly on Wednesdays in Copley Formal Lounge)
- The Advanced Team class is for people who either took intermediate team classes or those who have equivalent dance experience. It focuses on International Gold syllabus, open figures, and dance technique and is different every year as fits the class. (6pm-7:30pm weekly on Wednesdays in Copley Formal Lounge)
