  • Dancing with the Hoyas!!!!
    On Friday October 9, 2008 at 8pm in Copley Formal Lounge GUBDT will host the first ever Dancing with the Hoyas.  In this event three faculty members: James Sandefur, partnered with Kelly Newman in a tantalizing tango; Tad Howard partnered with Katherine Hess for a wonderful waltz; and Sue Lorenson partnerd with Jeff Bolling for the chachacha. Also performing in showcase dances are a few advanced dancers: Vlad & Martina, Holly & Jeff, Sarah & Ben, Kelly & Tyler.  Be sure to get your tickets this week in Red Square or reserve your tickets by e-mailing info.georgetown@ballroom.org and pick them up with payment at the door.  Tickets are $7.

    Why should you join ballroom?

    • Reason #1: Bump'n'grinding really just doesn't cut it at diplomatic functions or fancy balls.  Ballroom is a good life skill; you'll use it.

Register now for Spring 2010 classes!


Organized entirely by students, the Georgetown University Ballroom Dance Team includes a competitive team and offers several types and levels of classes for social members as well as team members. Members are invited to local weekly social dance outings and special classes, events, and performances on campus and in the DC area.
